Honey Island Swamp Band kicks off JazzFest with a celebration of the new album Good To You at the official Good To You CD Release Party at the HiHo Lounge. Joining the band for a very special performance will be the ladies of Slow Burn Burlesque, who not only will be opening the show with a set of their own sexy sultry dancing, but will also be joining the band on a variety of numbers throughout the HISB set. This is looking to be a really unique and exceptional evening of pure NOLA entertainment, featuring two of the hottest acts in the Crescent City nightlife scene. Be sure to get there in time to take in all of the amazing fun – doors at 9pm, show starts at 10:00pm with the SBB performance, followed by a full HISB show that will go well into the wee hours. And don’t forget to pick up your very own copy of Good To You hot off the presses!

J&M Studio tees, benefitting NO Musicians Clinic

Our friends from Backward Glances — Cindy & Dave Ciullo — have designed and produced t-shirts with the logo of the legendary studio, J & M. J & M studio was home to some of the most amazing seminal recordings by New Orleans artists in the 50s and 60s, helmed by master producer Cosimo Matassa. Some of the world-famous artists that recorded at J & M included Fats Domino, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles, Earl Palmer and Professor Longhair.

All profits from the J & M t-shirts are being donated to the New Orleans Musician’s Clinic/Assistance Foundation. As Cindy & Dave said: “It’s the least we can do to thank the musicians of New Orleans (including yourselves) for all the great music you give us!”
