HISB announces new album for 2010 with Threadhead Records!

We are excited to announce that we have begun pre-production on our next record, which we plan to release in April 2010. It is our privilege to be producing this album with Threadhead Records, an organization that since Hurricane Katrina has been producing records for New Orleans musicians and using a portion of the proceeds to benefit the New Orleans Musician’s Clinic.

How it works:

Basically, friends and fans contribute money to Threadhead Records for the recording of the next Honey Island Swamp Band album. All album sales are used to repay each individual investor within six months. After every investor is repaid, an additional ten percent of the total money raised is given to the New Orleans Musicians Clinic.

New Orleans Musicians Clinic

The Clinic offers free or discounted health care to New Orleans musicians, most of whom have never been provided with any traditional employer-paid health care. It is a vital service to the community and one that we all as musicians have relied upon in the past and continue to depend on.
