East Coast Wrap-Up

A-ron at Sullivan Hall, NYC - photo Dino PerucciAfter a two week run up the East Coast we’re finally back in New Orleans for couple of days off before a big July 4th gig at the Old Point Bar across the river in Algiers.  It was great trip, starting with a quick stop through Lu Lu’s over in Gulf Shores, Alabama on our way up to the Midsummer Music Fest in Atlanta.  Thanks to everyone who braved the sweltering heat to catch our afternoon set.  Our good friend UK Bob, host of the London to Louisiana Good Morning Blues show on WRFG Atlanta, was there and shot a little video which he posted on his Facebook page.  Bob has been a huge supporter of the band, featuring us on his Myspace page  and with an on-air interview he conducted with us before the gig.  You can check out the interview here.  Thanks Bob, and keep the good tunes rollin up there!

The next week found us winding our way up through North Carolina and into the Baltimore/DC area, where we discovered a killer new place called the Friendly Inn in Ellicott City.  Thanks to Steve, Sarah and the rest of the crew there for a killer show – we’ll definitely be back.   The next four days were a blur, with gigs at Sullivan Hall in NYC, the Twin Lakes Brewery in Wilmington, DE, and the 8×10 in Baltimore, among others.  Thanks to all of you for your support and hospitality.  We wrapped it all up with a dynamite set at the Federal Hill Jazz and Blues Festival, then hung with the crew at Mother’s and the 8×10 for a celebratory dinner before gearing up to head back south.
