Raw and uncensored!
Photos of New Orleans own Honey Island Swamp Band.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Hi Ho July 1oth for the official Wishing Well Cd release party. We had a great time as always and want to thank Jimmy Carpenter, Greg Hicks and Evelyn Montgomery for joining us on stage to make it an extra special occasion. Here are a few pics from the festivities.
Here are some highlights from a couple shows on our first East Coast run: some great shots from the man himself, our good friend Dino Perrucci, as well as some pics from our new friend Beth Matkins, who we met while opening for our buddy Anders Osborne in Wilmington, DE.
The photos in this gallery were taken by our good friends Bob Compton and John Carey, who captured so much of the great vibe that happened on the Gentilly Stage during the band’s debut JazzFest performance on April 30, 2009. You can check out more of Bob’s work at his website: CapturedLight.com
We drove an hour southeast to the swamps down in Houma on a tip from a friend who used to work servicing this old oil well, thinking it might make a good cover. Our boy Stephen Houser worked his magic and we got some incredible shots. Brought the dog along and he had a blast chasing everything that moved. These are some of the best pics from that shoot.
